About this programme

Our program prepares you for the growing field of institutionalized equity and social justice responses to the challenges presented by an increasing fragmented and polarized world. As a HREQ student, you will examine the principles of human rights, the causes and impact of human rights violations, and efforts to redress past atrocities. Other areas of study include problems of physical, social and economic security, cultural autonomy, and political rights and fundamental freedoms. The program enjoys two related foci: Human Rights and Equity Studies. The curriculum explores local and international issues of human rights and equity, including the denial of rights and access to education, health services, freedom of speech, physical, social and economic security, and political safety.
