About this programme

The mission of the Department of Immunology is to advance understanding of the function of the immune system in order to enhance the ability to fight infectious disease, cancer, and autoimmune disease. Current focus areas of research include infectious disease, tolerance and autoimmunity, allergy, innate immunity, adaptive immune responses, cancer immunology, developmental immunology, molecular immunology, cell death, and mucosal immunology. The department holds diversity and inclusiveness as core values and emphasizes their importance throughout research, recruitment, education, and practice.
