About this programme

Political Studies examines the use and abuse of power. Students learn about government and governance, authority and legitimacy, and global and political dynamics. This includes peace and conflict, equity and the distribution of resources, ideological influences, political processes, societal diversities, and struggles for justice, equality, freedom, and the common good. The Department of Political Studies offers the following certificate programs which are closely related to the Political Studies major. Some courses in Political Studies are taught by faculty in the corresponding department of St. Thomas More College.
