About this programme

Computer Science is the theoretical study and practical application of computation, including such topics as: design and maintenance of software systems, distributed systems, human-computer interaction, computational modeling, artificial intelligence, mobile computing, programming languages, image processing, and computer graphics. The use of information technology in almost every corner of human activity continues to create opportunities for our graduates. The Department of Computer Science offers comprehensive programs designed to prepare graduates for careers across all sectors of the information technology industry, as well as for graduate studies and research. Several of these programs are accredited, namely: the Computer Science B.Sc. Four-year, the B.Sc. Honours, and the B.Sc. Honours Software Engineering Option. The B.Sc. Three-year degree provides less depth. The department also offers and supports the related Applied Computing programs.
