Doctor of Philosophy in Craniofacial Science and Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry

About this programme

This combined program option to successful applicants holding a DMD degree or its equivalent, is a clinical specialty program that is offered in conjunction with a PhD in Craniofacial Science. The program provides education and training for clinicians, researchers and teachers. The students will divide clinical training between the University of British Columbia Point Grey Campus and BC Children’s Hospital. PhD/Diploma students will begin their training alongside the MSc/Diploma students and will moving into full time research from years two through four. In years five and six, the PhD/Diploma students will complete their clinical training. Therefore, the combined program will require a minimum of six years to prepare the student for clinical practice and a research career.
