Stockholm University is a large comprehensive university located in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. It teaches and conducts research across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and law. As a broad public university it covers a wide spread of academic disciplines rather than specialising in a single field. Its emblem, featuring a torch and the three crowns of Sweden, was designed by graphic artist Karl-Erik Forsberg.
