- Fees and funding Apply Course details Each unique Medical Doctorate (MD) project is carried out over a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years for full-time scholars, or a minimum of four years and a maximum of eight years for part-time scholars. Within this time you will be guided through your research project with the support of your supervisors and the RCSI School of Postgraduate Studies. This MD Level 10 NFQ major award is accredited by RCSI and the National University of Ireland.
