About this programme
Civil Engineering is a hands-on discipline, with careers that are just as likely to place you at a project site as in an office. Our program reflects that diversity, with a collection of laboratory and design activities across all years that support the application, synthesis and evaluation of knowledge. This includes testing full-scale building components in our Structures Lab, studying waves in our Coastal Engineering Lab, and learning about groundwater flow and water treatment in our Environmental Lab. Your time in our Civil Engineering program starts with a week-long team-based design challenge with testing at our Kennedy Field Station, and culminates with an industry-focused Capstone design experience.
