About this programme

This is an invitation to nurture a career specialising in urban or regional policy and planning. Gain the capabilities to address local opportunities and global challenges, together with specialist knowledge of the physical and ecological sciences, risk and resilience, the Treaty of Waitangi, resource management and planning law.

Entry requirements

Entry to a taught master's programme normally requires a relevant bachelor's degree (a NZ Level 7 degree or recognised overseas equivalent) in an appropriate field. The typical benchmark is a B or B- grade average or better across the 300-level (final-year) courses, though some programmes set a higher threshold such as a B+ average. Applicants whose first language is not English must also satisfy the university's English language requirements.
