About this programme

This track prepares the student to practice at an advanced level to provide patient-centered care to individuals and families across the lifespan (including pediatric through older adult populations) within the context of the community. Family nurse practitioners (FNPs) typically provide comprehensive care to patients in ambulatory and outpatient settings. FNPs provide preventative health care, including health promotion, disease prevention, and health education and counseling. Additionally, they assess, diagnose, and treat acute/episodic and chronic illnesses.
