The University of Gothenburg is a large comprehensive university located in Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden. It teaches across a broad spread of fields including the arts, social sciences, natural sciences, business, health, and education. As a comprehensive public university it spans many disciplines rather than concentrating on one area. Its seal carries the Latin name Universitas Gothoburgensis.
