A: Mooting is a mandatory second-year module simulating courtroom experience. Using a hypothetical set of case facts, students learn to identify legal issues, prepare written submissions, and present oral arguments. It includes lectures, practical seminars, and a mock trial. The final moot court competitions are presided over by a sitting member of the Irish judiciary. Q: What is the Guided Research Essay in Year 2? A: Students complete a Guided Research Essay on a law topic that they are interested in.
