University Program in Genetics and Genomics; A Multidisciplinary Biomedical PhD Program University Program in Genetics and Genomics The Duke University Program in Genetics and Genomics (UPGG) is an umbrella graduate training program that spans several basic science and clinical departments and bridges the Medical Center and the College of Arts and Sciences. UPGG was founded in 1967 and supported by a continuous NIH training grant (Genetics & Genomics Training Grant 5T32GM007754) for more than 35 years and running.
