This course provides an opportunity for students to undertake a significant research investigation in the theory or application of geographic information systems. Thesis topics will be chosen from problems of continuing or emerging significance and often will relate strongly to relevant problems of industry and government.

Entry requirements

Specifically, applicants require a strong academic record in an appropriate graduate diploma or an appropriate honours degree of at least second class level. Students may be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process. Optional units are intended to provide students with a broader and deeper insight into the knowledge, skills and applications of GIScience.
