• As a result of this scholarship funding, King's will provide example case studies and portfolios to support a standardised process and educational pathway for internationally qualified Sonographers to gain a CASE accredited award and Level 7 recognition in the UK.
• This process aims to recognise and build on each candidate's existing skills, whilst recognising and bridging key differences in clinical ultrasound practice between the UK and overseas.
• Candidates will be supported with a personalised portfolio of evidence meeting the expectations of the course and will be expected to participate in qualitative research (Case Studies) and be willing to share their portfolio and reflections for the benefit of future international applicants..
• Internationally qualified sonographers will undertake academic ultrasound training through King's College London towards a Pg Cert in Clinical ultrasound allowing registration with the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT).
• In the UK, there is no professional registration body for Sonographers, however, the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT) offers a voluntary register for practitioners specialising in the practical application of physics, engineering and technologies (such as ultrasound) to clinical practice.
• Graduates will be able to register with the RCT alongside their current international registration body and/or HCPC registration..

The following part-time Clinical Ultrasound tuition fees (30 credits) will be funded for successful candidates.. Home fee status: £3,025 (Pg Cert 2026/27).
