Working on this visa
Max 15 h/week for bachelor's/master's students (permits granted on or after 11 June 2026); the cap does not apply to work forming part of the education, student representation/administration/research at the institution, or June-August.
Bringing family
Spouse, registered partner, cohabiting partner and children under 18 may apply at the same time; the monthly maintenance requirement rises by SEK 4,440 for a spouse/cohabiting partner and SEK 2,664 per child.
After this visa
Holders of this permit who have completed at least two semesters of higher education may apply for a work permit from inside Sweden; a separate permit to look for work after completed studies also exists.
