Key requirements

  • Regular passive income of at least EUR 820 per month (pension, rental income, dividends, or investments)
  • Proof of accommodation in Portugal (rental contract or property deed)
  • Health insurance covering Portugal
  • Criminal record certificate from your home country

Bringing family

Family per Art 99(1) may apply for accompanying residence visas simultaneously (Art 58(5)); post-arrival family reunification requires a residence permit held for at least 2 years (Art 98(1), Lei 61/2025).
