Key requirements
- Admission to a full-time programme at a recognized educational institution in Hong Kong
- Adequate funds to cover tuition fees and living expenses (or evidence of financial sponsorship)
- Accommodation arrangements in Hong Kong
- The institution must be registered under the Education Ordinance or otherwise recognized
- No security objection and no known record of serious crime
Working on this visa
Study at the admitted institution; internships up to 6 months permitted under the stated conditions.
Bringing family
Only full-time undergraduate/postgraduate students at local degree-awarding institutions may bring a spouse and unmarried dependent children under 18.
Money you must show
No likelihood of becoming a burden on the HKSAR (no amount)
