Working on this visa
No work. May study an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) for less than 20 hours per week, or any other study or training for no more than 3 months.
Bringing family
A visa is generally not granted if a family unit member is under 6 (limited exceptions); children 6+ need their own Student visa.
