About this programme

The Master of Health, Sport and Human Performance sets you up with a research-based qualification teaching you to critically examine how political, cultural, social and economic factors influence the meaning and nature of sport, exercise and leisure.

Entry requirements

Entry to a taught master's or postgraduate programme normally requires a recognised bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, typically with a B-minus to B-plus grade average. Some schools require a bachelor's degree with honours to demonstrate research capability, and admission is assessed relative to the NZ grading standard. International applicants must also satisfy the University's English-language requirements.
