Doctor of Juridical Science
University of Waikato · Hamilton, New Zealand
The Doctor of Juridical Science is a structured programme that incorporates coursework and independent research. Individually tailored, it’ll help you achieve a PhD degree with maximum support.
PhD applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with honours or a master's degree that includes a significant research component (at least 25% of one year's study), with a minimum of Second Class, First Division (or equivalent) in that qualifying degree. Before applying, you must identify and secure a Waikato supervisor in your area and outline your proposed research — an Invitation to Apply from an agreed supervisor is required, with final admission approved by the Postgraduate Research Committee. International applicants must also meet the University's English-language requirements.
