Bachelor of Social Sciences
University of Waikato · Hamilton, New Zealand
The Bachelor of Social Sciences challenges your thinking about the world and its people. You'll explore contemporary social issues, human interactions, and how these can be understood, monitored, and influenced to create meaningful change.
International applicants must hold a secondary-school qualification equivalent to New Zealand University Entrance. Recognised pathways include Cambridge International A-Levels (typically three passes at grade C or above), the IB Diploma (minimum 24 points), or a recognised national school-leaving qualification; a NZ university foundation programme is also accepted. Many degrees have prerequisites on their core papers, so some programmes require specific school subjects (you may need additional or foundation papers if you lack them). Applicants whose first language is not English must also meet the University's English-language requirements.
