South East Technological University (SETU)
About
South East Technological University (SETU) is a multi-campus technological university serving the south-east of Ireland, with campuses in cities and towns including Waterford and Carlow. It was formed by the merger of former institutes of technology in the region and offers a wide range of programmes across business, engineering, science, computing, health, the humanities, and the creative arts. In common with other technological universities, it emphasises applied, career-focused learning alongside research and strong regional engagement.
Why international students choose it
- SETU offers international students an applied, career-focused education in an English-speaking country, spread across campuses in Ireland's south-east
- The region offers a friendly, student-oriented environment with a lower cost of living than the largest cities, plus access to Ireland's coast and countryside
- Programmes are taught in English, and the university provides dedicated support for its international community
