The Master of Science (MSc) is a two-year degree which can be studied in a wide range of subjects and which may be taken by a combination of coursework and thesis, or by thesis only.
Admission: Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sciences). Every applicant must have been awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science majoring in the subject or subjects of study proposed with an average grade of at least B, or have an alternative qualification acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sciences). An applicant seeking admission to the thesis-only option of the programme (see regulation 2(c) below) must have been awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science with Honours or the Postgraduate Diploma in Science, including research report, thesis preparation, or dissertation with an average grade of at least B+.
