About this programme

The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science with Honours (BMLScHons) includes a comprehensive grounding in health sciences and specialised training in the various laboratory testing disciplines.

Entry requirements

• Admission: Admission to the programme shall be determined by the Board of Studies for Medical Laboratory Science subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences), To be considered for admission to the programme, applicants must have passed the Second Year and semester one of the Third Year of the degree of Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science , with a grade average of at least B+. Application for admission must be made no later than 1st March of the Third Year of the course. Eligible applicants will be ranked, based on their Second Year and semester one Third Year averages and a written application. The top ranked applicants will be interviewed and, based on interview, offered admission to the programme. The number of students admitted to the Honours programme shall not exceed ten in any one year.
