About this programme

The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) provides a good, general, critical legal education including skills in legal research and advocacy and prepares students to meet the requirements of the Council of Legal Education and enable eligibility for entry to the New Zealand legal profession .

Entry requirements

International students need a secondary-school qualification recognised as equivalent to New Zealand University Entrance. Widely accepted qualifications include Cambridge International A-levels (typically at least 120 NZ Tariff points), the IB Diploma (minimum 24 points), and many recognised national qualifications assessed country-by-country. Applicants who do not meet direct entry can qualify through a foundation-year programme or one year of study at an institution of university standing. Some programmes require specific subjects, and a satisfactory level of English is required.
