The Bachelor of Business (Economics) is a versatile degree where you learn how the world of business works and gain the skills to interpret global information and events. It trains you in understanding how the economy operates at both micro and macro levels. You will study the business environment, the role of competition and the connections between different sectors, and learn about the effects the world economy has on New Zealand business and people.
International applicants need a secondary-school qualification recognised as equivalent to the New Zealand University Entrance standard (Year 13 / NCEA Level 3). Commonly accepted qualifications include the IB Diploma (a completed diploma of at least 24 points), Cambridge International A-Levels (three A-Levels with at least one at grade C or above), GCE A/AS-Levels, and a range of recognised national school-leaving qualifications. Some programmes require specific subjects to have been studied at school; applicants who do not meet the standard directly may enter through an approved foundation programme. A minimum standard of English is also required.
