Our Masters in Social Science Research Methods gives you advanced, doctoral-level training that builds your confidence as a researcher. You will learn how to understand and address major global challenges. The programme offers practical, expert-led teaching that connects qualitative and quantitative methods. You will work with real data and build strong research skills in areas such as interviews, fieldwork, creative and participatory methods, text analysis, surveys, and network analysis. You can also choose one disciplinary pathway to focus your studies on topics across sociology, politics, or urban studies.
Entry requirements 2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in Anthropology, Business, Economics, Economic History, Environmental Studies, Geography, International Relations, Development, Law, Management, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Policy. Other related Humanities subjects will also be considered. We may sometimes accept degrees at 2.2 Hons or non-UK equivalent.
