This Masters in Sensor and Imaging Systems (SIS) focuses on the technologies and techniques that underpin a vast range of societal, research and industrial needs. It is delivered and awarded jointly by the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Sensing and sensor systems are essential for advances in research across all fields of physics, engineering and chemistry and are enhanced when multiple sensing functions are combined into arrays to enable imaging. Entry requirements
2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in Physics, Electronic and Electrical Engineering with at least 1 credit bearing module in Electromagnetism and Waves/Diffraction/Optics and Modern Physics at an average grade of pass. We may also accept degrees in Computer, Biological or Medical Sciences with a 2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) with substantial Physics background or knowledge relevant to Sensing and Imaging. These will be condisdered on a case by case basis. We may sometimes accept degrees at 2.2 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in Physical Science, Electronic and Electrical Engineering with substantial relevant work experience
