About this programme

Overview Our academic staff supervise an international cohort of research students within our diverse and dynamic research community, working across diverse areas of expertise including Education, Environment, Health, Humanities, Sustainable Development, and Tourism. As well as being part of a dynamic research community here, our researchers are part of the College of Social Sciences Graduate School, drawing together internationally recognised scholars and respected practitioners. Our interdisciplinary approach gives researchers the opportunity to work with other schools and colleges within the University too. All research students have two supervisors, providing complementary expertise. You will receive training in Dumfries, as well as benefit from training opportunities in Glasgow in Research Design, Qualitative Methods, Quantitative Data Analysis, Introduction to Social Theory for Re
