About this programme

Finance looks into future planning for businesses, investors, and more. It shapes the health of every economy, and at UC you will gain the knowledge to make the right financial decisions. Studying Finance will prepare you for a range of jobs in the financial and business sectors, as well as any roles that involve detailed knowledge of analysing data, risk planning and management, and accounting.

Entry requirements

International applicants must hold a secondary-school qualification assessed as equivalent to New Zealand University Entrance. Widely recognised qualifications include the IB Diploma, Cambridge International A-levels, and approved national school-leaving qualifications; where a qualification falls short, UC offers foundation and pathway programmes. Some degrees and majors require specific subjects (for example mathematics or sciences) at the appropriate level. Applicants must also meet UC's English language requirements.
