Find out about the University of Bristol's PhD in Management, including entry requirements, structure and research groups.
The applicant must have an upper second-class honours degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent qualification, and either have completed or be completing a master's qualification from a UK university (or equivalent). At Master's level we expect a Merit as a minimum, with a Distinction in the research component. In the majority of cases, an overall award of Distinction is desirable. Where the mark is not yet awarded, predicted marks will be assessed. The master's requirement does not apply to applications made to SWDTP-funded scholarships although commencement of the PhD remains conditional on the completion of the associated master's. Exceptionally, we will consider applications from those with excellent undergraduate qualifications (first class, with a research component) without a master's qualification. Aptitude test results such as GMAT and GRE can be submitted as evidence of PhD-level analytical and verbal abilities. See international equivalent qualifications on the International Office website.
