Criminology is a multidisciplinary field that explores crime, justice and social harm through perspectives which include sociology, law, psychology, history, philosophy and public policy. Our four-year BSc Criminology with Study Abroad degree gives you the opportunity to examine these issues within a wider policy context while experiencing criminology from an international viewpoint. The programme develops your understanding of crime, criminal justice and related social harms, alongside the role of public policy in creating safer, fairer and harm-free societies. You will study with leading experts to develop the analytical, research and communication skills valued across justice, policy and social sectors. A distinctive feature of this course is the chance to spend your third year studying at one of our partner universities overseas. Our partners span regions such as Europe, Asia, North America and Australia, offering a rich variety of academic approaches and cultural environments. You will explore criminological and social science debates in a different cultural and academic setting, broaden your global perspective and build valuable international experience.
