Our BSc Accounting and Finance with Study Abroad degree is a four-year, professionally accredited course with the opportunity to study abroad, in English, for a year at one of our partner universities. It's a fully integrated degree, combining accounting and finance. Drawing on theory, cutting-edge research and practice, you'll develop strong quantitative skills and a global outlook. Places on the course are allocated on merit, depending on first-year examination results and the availability of spaces at destination universities.The course is designed to equip you with the expertise you need for a wide range of rewarding careers in accountancy or finance and investment banking. Seize the opportunity and you'll develop a powerful combination of in-depth, technical knowledge and essential, transferable skills needed in modern societies.Our graduates work in many of the world's most prestigious blue-chip companies and organisations.In your first year, you'll build a solid foundation in fundamental principles through mandatory units in accounting, finance, economics and mathematics. Year two advances your knowledge in core subjects, really pushing you to sharpen your analytical and problem-solving skills. We'll also introduce a range of optional units, allowing you to begin tailoring your degree to your specific interests.Your third year is when you'll grab your passport and head abroad. Based at a partner university, you'll study units related to your degree and immerse yourself in a new culture.You'll return to Bristol for your final year bringing all that invaluable, international experience with you. That's when you'll consolidate your learning and specialise further. You'll engage with complex, contemporary issues in accounting and finance, choosing from a wide array of advanced options to align your studies with your career ambitions. The course will allow you to sharpen your ability to think critically and challenge received information. You'll also develop the key interpersonal skills you need to create a successful career.This degree provides rewarding opportunities to participate in a summer internship and the Bristol PLUS Award. You'll also be supported by our faculty's Professional Liaison Network, which runs a range of specialist employability services that connect you with alumni mentors, insight talks and internship opportunities.The first two years of this course are taught at our vibrant Clifton Campus, where you'll gain a thorough understanding of your subject. For your final year, you'll benefit from teaching delivered at our cutting-edge Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus.
